An important difficulty associated with alkaline water electrolysis is the rise in anode overpotential attributable to bubble coverage of the electrode surface. For this study, a system with a high-speed video camera was developed, achieving in-situ observation of bubble generation on an electrode surface, monitoring an area of 1.02 mm2 at 6000 frames per second. The relation between polarization curve (current density up to 3.0 A cm?2) and oxygen bubble generation behavior on nickel electrodes having cylindrical wires and rectangular wires of different sizes (100–300 μm) was clarified. The generated bubbles slide upward, contacting the electrode surface and detaching at the top edge. Observations indicate that small electrodes have short bubble residence time and thin bubble covering layer on the electrode. As a result, the small electrode diameter contributes to smaller overpotential at high current density. 相似文献

Phase equilibria of the PbO-“FeO”-SiO2-ZnO, PbO-“FeO”-SiO2-Al2O3 and PbO-“FeO”-SiO2-MgO slags with liquid Pb metal, solid or liquid Fe metal and solid oxides (cristobalite and tridymite SiO2, willemite (Zn,Fe)2SiO4, wustite (Fe,Al)O1+x, spinel (Fe,Al)3O4, olivine Fe2SiO4, corundum (Al,Fe)2O3, mullite Al6Si2O13 and pyroxene (Mg,Fe)SiO3) were investigated at 1125–1670 °C. These conditions correspond to the minimum solubility of PbO in slag in presence of Pb and Fe metals at reducing conditions and represent the limit of lead smelting and slag cleaning process. High-temperature equilibration on silica, corundum or iron foil substrates, followed by quenching and direct measurement of Pb, Fe, Si, Zn, Al and Mg concentrations in the liquid and solid phases with the electron probe X-ray microanalysis (EPMA) was used. Strain-mediated coupling between the magnetic and electrically ordered phases plays a significant role in magnetoelectric (ME) nano-composites. This study explores a method to analyse and quantify interfacial strain using a grazing angle scan (α) in a ME composite optimised for a specific microstructure. The details of strain around the interface CoFe2O4 (CFO) – 0.93Na0.5Bi0.5TiO3 – 0.07BaTiO3 (NBT-BT) was determined by performing ‘α’ scan, in order to gather information at various depths of the NBT-BT layer around maximum intensity (110) reflection. The strain around the interface was observed to dominate over a spatial region of ~20–30 nm away from the interface. The Piezoresponse force microscopy (PFM) studies performed near the interface reveal that the strain constrain experienced by the ferroelectric layer operates such that polarisation rotation and domain wall motion are constrained compared to the strain relaxed region of the film. For effective strain transfer, heterostructures grown with optimised thicknesses (~20–30 nm) exhibited a superior inverse piezomagnetic effect. 相似文献

The harmless disposal of lead paste in the spent lead-acid batteries (LABs) remains an enormous challenge in traditional pyrometallurgical recycling. Here, we introduced a hydrometallurgical method for the recycling of the spent LABs’ waste to obtain the β-PbO as a novel zinc ion batteries (ZIBs) active material. The obtained β-PbO exhibits ultra-flat charge/discharge voltage platforms (0.21 mV/(mAh g?1)) and stable specific capacity. During the charge/discharge, the β-PbO spontaneously triggers the formation of (ZnSO4)[Zn(OH)2]3·5H2O (ZHS) micro-sheets as a surface passivation layer. Moreover, the ex-situ X-ray spectra reveal that the reversible phase transformation occurs between PbSO4 and Pb with the assistance of ZHS by adjusting the PH value on the electrode-electrolyte interface. The synergistic two-phase-reaction mechanism generates ultra-flat voltage platforms upon the charge/discharge. This “energy-saving and environment-friendly” recycling route eliminates the major source of emission of pollution particulates/gases compared to the traditional pyrometallurgical recycling, while at the same time replacing energy-consuming and environmentally detrimental processes of synthesis of current ZIBs cathodes. 相似文献

南厂铅锌矿位于兰坪—思茅中生代坳陷北端,构造格局复杂,成矿条件优越。通过对矿床进行野外地质调查,对成矿地质背景、矿床地质特征、成矿机制和矿床成因进行了分析,发现南厂铅锌矿体主要呈透镜状赋存于第三系云龙组(Eyb)及下白垩统景星组(K1j1)地层中,与围岩接触部位发育微弱褪色蚀变,云龙组下段(Eya)是矿体底板有效的“屏蔽层”;区内发育原生砂岩型矿石、灰岩型矿石和氧化矿石,沉积构造特征明显,局部具有热液、变质作用改造特征;矿区地层、构造是矿床形成的重要因素,断裂构造是主要的容矿、导矿构造,高盐度热卤水沿导矿构造循环至有利层位、构造部位富集成矿,综合分析认为南厂矿床属热卤水为主的多成因层控型铅锌矿床。 相似文献

Single phase PbHfO3 antiferroelectric ceramics were prepared via rolling process. It is revealed that the rolling process can reduce the grain size and increase the bulk density, which lead to the enhanced breakdown strength up to 268 kV/cm versus 219 kV/cm of samples using the conventional solid-state method. As a result, high recoverable energy density of 7.6 J/cm3 with an efficiency of 80.8 % was achieved. Meanwhile, a large current density of 1381 A/cm2 and an ultrahigh peak power density up to 170 MW/cm3 were observed under 250 kV/cm. In addition, unique electrical polarization response characteristics at different electric fields and temperature-induced structural phase transitions were also investigated. The energy storage performance and charge-discharge properties of PbHfO3 were first studied in this communication and all the results indicate that PbHfO3 ceramic is a promising candidate for pulse power applications. 相似文献

This work reports the composition dependent microstructure, dielectric, ferroelectric and energy storage properties, and the phase transitions sequence of lead free xBa(Zr0.2Ti0.8)O3-(1-x)(Ba0.7Ca0.3)TiO3 [xBZT-(1-x)BCT] ceramics, with x?=?0.4, 0.5 and 0.6, prepared by solid state reaction method. The XRD and Raman scattering results confirm the coexistence of rhombohedral and tetragonal phases at room temperature (RT). The temperature dependence of Raman scattering spectra, dielectric permittivity and polarization points a first phase transition from ferroelectric rhombohedral phase to ferroelectric tetragonal phase at a temperature (TR-T) of 40?°C and a second phase transition from ferroelectric tetragonal phase - paraelectric pseudocubic phase at a temperature (TT-C) of 110?°C. The dielectric analysis suggests that the phase transition at TT-C is of diffusive type and the BZT-BCT ceramics are a relaxor type ferroelectric materials. The composition induced variation in the temperature dependence of dielectric losses was correlated with full width half maxima (FWHM) of A1, E(LO) Raman mode. The saturation polarization (Ps) ≈8.3?μC/cm2 and coercive fields ≈2.9?kV/cm were found to be optimum at composition x?=?0.6 and is attributed to grain size effect. It is also shown that BZT-BCT ceramics exhibit a fatigue free response up to 105 cycles. The effect of a.c. electric field amplitude and temperature on energy storage density and storage efficiency is also discussed. The presence of high TT-C (110?°C), a high dielectric constant (εr ≈?12,285) with low dielectric loss (0.03), good polarization (Ps ≈?8.3?μC/cm2) and large recoverable energy density (W?=?121?mJ/cm3) with an energy storage efficiency (η) of 70% at an electric field of 25?kV/cm in 0.6BZT-0.4BCT ceramics make them suitable candidates for energy storage capacitor applications. 相似文献

AbstractThe spherical nanomaterials of MnFe-Ac and MnFe-Na can be synthesized with sol-gel method. The adsorption test of Pb (II) was carried out with two kinds of synthesized nanomaterials, and discussed their adsorption effects of Pb (II). The characteristic was analyzed by SEM, XRD, XPS and magnetic measurements. As the results showeed, the particles size of the material became smaller, but the morphology did not change after adsorption. The change of Ms was from 42.7 and 62.0?emu/g to 25.6 and 89.4?emu/g, respectively. By Langmuir and Freundlich models, the maximum adsorption amounts of Pb (II) were 23.40 and 41.56?mg/g, respectively, and analysis demonstrated that the adsorption of Pb (II) on samples was monolayer adsorption. The kinetic analysis showed that the adsorption of Pb (II) on the two materials was more in accordance with the pseudo-second-order model, which indicated that adsorption process of the materials for Pb (II) were primarily limited by the chemical adsorption. 相似文献

Herein, [As2IIIAsVMo8VIV4IVO40]2[CuICu2II(pz)4]2·9H2O/polyaniline/reduced graphene oxide (pz = pyrazine, abbreviated to As3Mo8V4/PANi/rGO) composite is first assembled, characterized and systematically explored for its supercapacitor performance. As3Mo8V4/PANi/rGO composite shows a exceptional specific capacitance (2351 F g?1 at 1 A g?1) and outstanding cyclic stability (96.9% after 5000 cycles). The symmetric supercapacitor exhibits high specific capacitance of 1295 F g?1 at 1 A g?1 and excellent energy density of 88.1 Wh kg-1 at power density of 349.6 W kg-1, while maintaining a notable capacitance retention of 85.7% after 5000 cycles at 2 A g-1. The above results confirm the potential application of As3Mo8V4/PANi/rGO composite in energy storage devices. 相似文献

In this paper, a novel Co3O4 micro-bundles structure (Co3O4 MBs) was obtained at 120 °C after a hydrothermal reaction for 24 h and followed by an annealing treatment at 300 °C in air. The unique Co3O4 MBs are constructed by many adjacent flakes with 0.4 μm in thickness, and exhibit a large surface area of 81.2 m2 g?1 and a mean pore diameter of 6.14 nm, which may facilitate a sufficient contact with electrolyte and then shorten the diffusion pathway of ions. A remarkable electrochemical behavior including specific capacity of 282.3 C g?1 at 1 A g?1 and 205.9 C g?1 at 10 A g?1, and an excellent cycling performance with 74.6% capacity retention after 4000 charge-discharge process at 5 A g?1 are achieved when the test of Co3O4 MBs-modified electrode is performed using three-electrode configuration. Additionally, a hybrid supercapacitor (HSC) was fabricated with the obtained Co3O4 MBs as positive electrode and commercial activated carbon (AC) as negative electrode. The HSC exhibits a specific capacity of 144.1 C g?1 at 1 A g?1 and 126.4% capacity retention after 5000 cycles at 5 A g?1. An energy density of 38.5 W h kg?1 can be obtained at a power density of 962.0 W kg?1, and 29.5 W h kg?1 is still retained at 8532.5 W kg?1. The simple synthetic strategy can be applicable to the synthesis of other transition metal oxides with superior electrochemical performance. 相似文献
